Sometimes I take a picture for a purpose.
And sometimes I take a picture and figure out the purpose later.
And sometimes I take a picture while my beloved is squawking around like a rooster trying to get the chickens to look up and I realize that I should really have taken a picture of my beloved squawking around like a rooster.

200
This is my 200th post.
And for my 200th post, I wanted to do something significant. Something to really mark the occasion.
I've written a lot of things. I've shared a lot of images. I've seen how the entire thing has morphed and changed into something I never thought it would be, going in a direction that I never thought it would go.
As I prepared for this 200th post, I kept thinking about all of the stories that constantly run through my head.
Stories about Prince Charming.
Stories about my kids.
My latest Project 52 shot.
None of them really felt "200 worthy". But, there were a lot of things that I wanted to say and I kept pushing them aside in search of something much more meaningful.
It got to be kind of a thing and I started to get kind of frustrated with it.
So, in the end, I've decided to just say this:
I love writing on this blog.
I love the outlet that it provides for me. The chance to create magic and poetry and art and, yes, I know, sometimes garbage. But, it's all me. And I love the opportunity to get it out there.
I have no idea if it makes any sense, although I hope it does.
I have no idea if it's reaching anyone, although I hope it is.
And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, how very much I appreciate you for continuing to come back and go through all of this with me.
Thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Image inspired by Christine Dibble Photography...
and when I say 'inspired by', I mean a total and complete
replica because her image was so cool that I just had to try it for myself....
just so that's clear....
Sending you all of my love and devotion,
Lisa

Project 12 ~ Month 1 {Resolution}
I hate resolutions.
My definition of Resolution is this: Promises I make to myself after 5 mimosas on New Year's morning.
They sound great when I talk about them to Prince Charming. They look great written out in my notebook. They feel great the first two mornings that I get up at 6:00 to start makin' them happen.
But, then I get tired. It's 6:00 in the morning for shit's sake.
Okay ~ Resolution #1: No swearing....unless I'm by myself.
Resolution #2: Spend more time alone.
In years past, I've resolved to:
Keep everything I own in clear, stackable boxes with snap on lids.
Eat only what grows or is made out of dirt.
Work out 47 times a week.
Read a novel every day.
Think good thoughts that will keep me moving forward to the places I want to go.
Resolution #3 ~ Figure out good places to go.
It's been 41 years of this. I'm exhausted.
I saw on Ryan Seacrest's New Year's Eve show that some ridiculous percentage of people actually resolve to get in a relationship this year. Really? Why don't you just resolve to eat a doughnut everyday? It'd be a hell of a lot easier and a lot more fun. I mean, what kind of a resolution is that? You can't just make that happen. If it comes your way, great. If not, keep going. If you're open to it, it will happen, but you can't force it.
"No, you have to be my boyfriend. I made a resolution....Wait! Why are you running away!?"
(And P.S....I also heard that they're thinking about Ryan Seacrest to replace Matt Lauer...as if!...)
Okay....anyway. My point is resolutions are stupid. I can't force myself because I know that I'll put up a fight, and I know that I'll win. I can, however, set a goal. An attainable goal. Like,
I can totally do that.
Alright, alright. I can do more that just that. I can drink white wine, too.
Fine. I'll stop goofin' around.
I do have a set a goals for this year. I'm not going to tell you what they are because that's another thing that I hate about resolutions ~ spilling them publicly.
"Tell people. It makes you accountable."
Blech.....
I will tell you that:
1. I have a set of personal goals.
2. I'm working to achieve them.
3. They do not involve counting calories, keeping a journal or tracking my progress on anything.
The problem now is that I can't tell you why I made this image. It's was done as part of my goal setting process and I just said I wasn't going to discuss that.
I don't know. Now, I'm torn. And I've already spent way more time on this that I'd planned.
I guess, I'll just let the image speak for itself and you can make up whatever story or goal or resolution you want to about it.
I won't hold you to it.
I just love you.
Happy New Year!
