It's A Shore Thing ~ Week 2

Tons of sun and beach time this week.  It just never gets old, you know?....

These birds apparantly fly from Costa Rica to lay their eggs.  Why they choose windy Ocean Shores to do that in, I'll never know, but they'd taken up residence in the eaves outside our front door.  The babies sat very quietly until their mother came back with food.  Then, we would hear them chirping away.  The five babies were discovered laying on our front doorstep, very still.  They tried to fly too soon and didn't quite make it....

My son discovered that you can squeeze these things and water shoots out.  He grabs every one he can find and entertains himself all the way down the shore.

  1. It looks like you all have had some more good times and made some great memories. I love the one that looks like someone (your daughter?) is playing 'ostrich'. Also, the mama bird looks like she's thinking, "What are you? The paparazzi?" :)
