Back To The Beach

We've been going to the beach now for about a year and a half.  In that time, I've taken thousands of pictures of the landscape, the waves, the foliage, the creatures.  You name it.

Bottles.  Seaweed.  Buoys.
People.  Dogs.  Birds.
Sunsets.  Silhouettes.  Sun flares.
Wind.  Rain.  Fog.
Kids.  Kids.  Kids.
Some of it beautiful.  Some of it interesting.
Some of it just taking up space on my hard drive.

It's really gotten to the point where I walk on the beach now thinking, "I'm not photographing that.....I'm not photographing that...."  I used to come home with hundreds of images, but lately, it's like...maybe....60.  And I really haven't been doing much with them.  I've just felt.....uninspired.  The beach had been done.

But the thing about the beach that we always marvel at and love so much is how it changes every time we go there.  The storms change the sandscape, carrying away the old markers and bringing in new treasures.  I went about it this past weekend looking for the lost friend I have in the shoreline.  Rediscovering the majestic.  And capturing the ever changing personality of the ocean.
