Aside from the obvious Madonna montage that filled my brain the instant I read this week's theme (Come on, girls! Do you believe in love?.....), I was struck with a desire to try some things I had put on the back burner of my creativity checklist. See, I've been spending a lot of time lately taking pictures and editing images of people and events, and not doing a whole lot to exercise my artistic muscles. Don't get me wrong, portraits are great. I love capturing people at their most amazing moments, but those are about them. Which leads my camera to the immortal words of Keith Urban, Moving Pictures, Kenny Rogers and a host of other C-List musicians I've never heard of, what about me? So, I snapped on my sooooo not macro lens and did my best to capture an artistic macro shot......
It's a technique that still needs a little work, but I'm kind of running out of time this week, you know?
Some weeks are like that, especially after a wedding and a big print order
and a short week before heading to the beach.....
