Santa Cruz, California
9:32 a.m.
Scopin' out the sand scene in the campground
9:35 a.m.
"Okay....you can take my picture."
10:18 a.m.
Stopped at a Mexican Farmer's Market on our way into Watsonville for shopping.
Roma Tomatoes for $0.69 cents a pound? Can't beat that.
2:29 p.m.
The Campground Sand Castle Contest
And can I just say, that she was extremely shocked and
more than a little...ummm....pissed at the fact that they didn't win.
"I can't believe it!?! We didn't even win!!"
Things were thrown. Camp counselors were running.
It was a scary scene.
Hell hath no fury like a 5 year-old without a tee shirt and a camp store gift card.

Havin' some fun and enjoying the sights
Down by the Bay
In Monterey.
I'm a poet and I just don't know it.

The beach may be different, but the admiration is pretty much the same.
6:10 p.m.
"Okay you guys, get together..."
6:11 p.m.
"oh...and watch out for that big wave crashing into you from behind.
I'm sorry. Did you not see that coming?"
6:29 p.m.
Riding the 0.9 miles back to camp in the back of Dad's truck.
Sooooo cool.
8:37 p.m.
Camp fire side.
8:50 p.m.
S'mores.
This is just the best part of my day.
I'll take my flaming, thank you.
9:19 p.m.
Realizing that, as far as I've come in my ability to camp
and to truly understand that it means much more than a hotel without room service,
I've got a long way to go.
These people know how to camp.
Hold on....is that a waiter?
