You Gotta' Read A Lot Of Dr. Seuss....

It's Dr. Seuss Day at school,
The kids are all wearing hats.
Except for my son,
Who cannot stand that.

It started when he was just a wee lad,
And a hat fitting incident that went really bad.

But my daughter just loves it,
Dressing up and looking cool.
She put on her cat suit, a striped hat,
And went to school.

It's Green Eggs & Ham
On the menu today
Along with some songs
and other games that they'll play.

I do not know how
My son will get through the day.
He didn't think it was funny when I said,
"Try it and you may.  Try it and you may, I say."

And I suddenly haven't any a doubt
That this is why "The Lorax" is coming out.

"The Lorax?  What's that?"

Prince Charming said with a sneer.
"The Lorax!?!" I shouted.

"You're kidding, my dear.

And the small little man

Who spoke for the trees?"

"What are you talking about?"

He thought I was weird.
Like wearing a Bandikus
With a purple Fluneerd.

But who cares what he says!
I grew up that way
And I triple puffy heart
That it's Dr. Seuss Day!

...Tomorrow, really....but, there's no school then,
so it's today...
