I really wanted to do something fresh for this week's theme.
I really wanted to do something new for this week's theme.
For this week's theme I have been walking all over my house, and driving all over my neighborhood looking at everything green I could find.
I did not want to be obvious about it.
I did not want to photograph trees. I live in the Evergreen state, so I take pictures of green trees ALL THE TIME!
I wanted to do something with green boots. Maybe with pink tulips inside of them.
But, I don't have green boots and my tulips are covered in snow.
I thought about doing something with the super green parsley that I have on my window sill.
But, there was snow falling in the background and I thought it was gross.
I thought about taking a picture of my kid because he has these funky kind of green eyes that look really cool when he wears his camouflage shirt.
But, he refused to help me because he wanted to go out and play in the snow.
I thought about doing something with iced coffee that had a great swirl of cream going through it and a bright green straw sticking out it.
But, I'm entirely too freezing to be drinking iced coffee. There's snow on the ground, you know.
I'm sick of snow.
My green grass is covered in it.
My green plants are covered in it.
The sky is gray. The ground is dark and wet. I feel like I'm living inside a garbage can.
I desperately need some green.
For now, this will have to do. It's a new thing I've been wanting to try, so it sort of counts.
I haven't quite mastered the technique yet. Mostly because I don't have all the necessary equipment and 47 hours to spend taking pictures of water dropping out of a bag into a pan.
I have other things to do. Like clean clams and make key lime pie...which is green, but I don't think I'll be taking any pictures of it. Food photography makes me gag....
Sending you love and Evergreen wishes~
L.
