I'm always excited to see what our theme is going to be each week. Sometimes when I read it, I'm immediately inspired. Sometimes when I read it, I'm immediately confused. Sometimes when I read it, I'm immediately hungry....but, that's another story.
The times when I'm inspired, I can crank out an image in half a second, maybe even two. The times when I'm confused, it may take me all week to work up my creativity. The times when I'm hungry, I just make a sandwich or something.
This week's theme was odd for me on a certain level. I'll explain.
When I saw that the theme was Enchantment, the only thing that popped into my head was the Fish Under The Sea dance (anyone know what that's from?). I was like,
"What?...Come on! I got so deep last week with my Reflections, let's keep it going. Let's keep it expressive!"
I kept rolling it around in my head. Enchantment. Enchantment. Enchantment. What is that anyway? I tired to explain it to my son.
"It's like being in a dream. Kind of playful and whimsical, and it just makes you happy."
He asked me to please be quiet so he could get back to jumping the motocross on the Wii. I didn't let that deter me from trying to figure this one out, though. I'm not that easily deterred.
And then BAM....Just like that, I was enchanted. I kind of felt like Emeril.
All of the sudden, it was clear...and I was right. Dreamy. Playful. Whimsical. Enchanting.
So, now that I know, I can tell you that these are few other things that have been enchanting me this weekend.
This one enchants me on many levels, some I can't define any more than to say, because I just love him.
Ballet has been very big this weekend. More on that later....Stay tuned.
Wishing you dreamy, playful, whimsical enchantment that will confuse you at first and then inspire you to see how fun and wonderful a sunny, jam-packed, almost-summer weekend can be.
Hugs!
L.
