A. It was clear glass, which I love.
B. It was a cool shape, which I think rocks.
and
C. It had Japanese writing on the top of it.
And I thought,
Awesome! I can use this for my project group this week!
The theme is From Japanese, which, admittedly, I thought was kind of weird, especially because the moderator of the group is from Montucky or Texahoma or some place...I'm not sure...and it seemed kind of random that she would choose that, but then I guessed that she probably read about all of the debris from the tsunami that starting to wash up on the shores, and she wanted to shine the light on us West Coasters a bit.
Cool.
So I took this picture, but when I went to upload it into the group pool, I saw that the theme wasn't From Japanese, but actually From Trees.
Wait...What?
From Trees? What is that? Like, bark and leaves and stuff? Or like paper?
So then I had to go all the way back and do it again, and by that time I was so bummed that I couldn't use my rockin' Japanese bottle shot, that I just threw some books out on the grass, told them to smile, and took their picture.
I was going to call it
Across The Pacific: One Photographer's Lens Searching Journey From Cool Japanese Bottles To Dusty, Old Library Books
and then I decided that
私は、このテーマはあるものの、私の写真で、私はそれに貼り付けている ...... 何気にしない
I hope that says,
"I don't care what the theme is, this bottle is my picture and I'm stickin' to it"
because I don't speak Japanese, so I'm kind of just wingin' it here....
Love,
From Photographically Pissed Off In Wk. 19
